The participant will learn how to use a woodworking lathe to create a wooden bowl. The course starts with two 1 hour lectures where the participant will learn parts of the woodworking lathe, lathe safety, safe wood blank mounting techniques, and learn about wood turning tools.  The remainder of the course will consist of hands-on instruction that will allow the participant to create their very own wooden bowl step by step. Each participant will have their own wood lathe to have an immersive learning experience.
